Description

Are you passionate about working with children and young people with disabilities? Are you able to help to run inclusive fun sessions for children aged 5-12 and want to make a difference to children’s and families lives? If so, this post could be for you! This post has the option of additional hours being available during school holidays.

Job purpose: To assist in the delivery of stimulating and exciting short breaks services for children and young people with complex needs and disabilities. Short breaks services provide children and young people with disabilities enjoyable experiences away from their primary carers, which contributes to their personal and social development and reduces social isolation. This requires an individual who has a confident, enthusiastic and influential approach with an inherent enjoyment of working with young people. This person will ensure that day to day activities are safe and enjoyable for the young people, and will also make a real difference for those in need.

Hours of work: Saturdays 09:00 – 17:00 (Term time only) and at Reigate Sundays 09.00 - 17.00 (Term time only).   Additional hours are expected to be available during School Holidays.

Location: Crawley, Horsham, Chailey, Reigate, Tadworth, Worcester Park, Leatherhead

Salary / pay rate: £12.70 per hour. 

Annual leave: Five weeks (pro-rata) plus bank holidays. This is to be discussed at interview. Holidays increase after two years service to a maximum of five weeks pro-rata after six years service. The holiday year runs from 1 April to 31 March each year.
