Description
Are you passionate about driving positive change in communities? Join our team as a Community and Economic Development Analyst and play a pivotal role in shaping the future economic vitality of Woodburn and the North Marion region.
In this dynamic role, you will conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for economic growth and community development initiatives. Your insights will inform strategic decision-making and help create sustainable solutions that uplift local businesses; you will coordinate a variety of economic and community development activities relating to business retention, expansion, attraction, and development.
As a Community and Economic Development Analyst, you will collaborate with stakeholders, gather data, plan and implement marketing and promotion of City programs, coordinate downtown beautification projects with businesses, vendors, artists and City staff and leverage county, regional and state cooperative marketing and grant programs to expand local and regional tourism resources and efforts. Your analytical skills and ability to translate complex information into actionable plans will be invaluable in driving meaningful progress.

Bachelor's Degree and two years of professional experience in public or business administration, economic development, tourism or a related field; or a combination of training, education, and experience that is equivalent to the employment standard listed above and that provides the required knowledge and abilities. Demonstrated experience working with local governments, knowledge of/training in community and economic development and tourism practices and principles, and general familiarity with Oregon's regulatory environment. Valid Oregon class C driver's license and the ability to meet the City of Woodburn’s driving standards; must pass the pre-employment background check. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
