Description
An amazing opportunity has arisen at UBL UK and we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our Finance team. As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in providing financial insights and analysis to support decision-making processes within our organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of annual statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP and deal with audit queries.
- Manage the processes and reviews of External Auditors monthly data/information requirements and the submission thereof.
- Preparation of management information, including daily reporting and monthly management accounts as well as providing insightful and robust financial analysis.
- Oversight of timely reconciliation of Nostro and Control accounts and clearance of reconciling items, along with monitoring and reporting on the reconciliation status of all general ledger accounts.
- Manage the processes around submission of Tax returns to HMRC, which include CRS/FATCA, Corporation Tax etc.
- Suggest enhancements to processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness, and assist with implementing and documenting changes.
- Provide guidance and support of the Bank’s IT transformation projects.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining an effective compliance culture within the Bank for combating money laundering, terrorist financing and other forms of financial crime. Ensure that you fully comply with all anti-money laundering and countering terrorist financing procedures and to promptly report to the MLRO where knowledge or reasonable suspicion of any criminal conduct is obtained.
- Ensure that any staff reporting to you are trained and comply with the Bank’s Policy and Procedures regarding Money Laundering detection and reporting, and that any weaknesses identified in AML Procedures and Compliance are promptly addressed.
- Ensuring that treating customer fairly (TCF), principles are adhered to at all times.
- To provide assistance to the Financial Controller as required
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
- Conduct variance analysis and identify areas for improvement
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Collaborate with various departments to provide financial guidance
- Any additional activities deemed necessary to facilitate the successful completion of the department objectives.
