Description

Magnetic is the UK’s leading innovation and digital design studio. B Corp certified and female-led, we work with startups, governments and organisations in the UK and internationally to create products, services and strategies that drive growth and deliver impact. Our purpose is to design better futures, and we do this by helping people and businesses innovate. Over the past ten years, our partners have included Waitrose, Essex and Dorset Councils, Bupa, Mars Wrigley, Innovate UK, Google, Fulham Football Club and Save The Children.

In 2024, Magnetic joined the Newton Group, bringing together our design and innovation expertise with Newton’s deep operational experience. The Group now includes three businesses. Alongside Magnetic, Xantura uses AI and analytics to help public services better support residents and communities. The third and largest organisation is Newton, a UK-based consultancy with 600 employees. Newton works across healthcare, government, retail, defence and infrastructure, turning strategic goals into real-world outcomes. Often working behind the scenes, they play a key role in large-scale multimillion-pound change and transformation programmes. All three businesses in the Newton Group share a commitment to delivering lasting impact and value.

Magnetic consultants share a strong core of skills, including proposition design, customer research, business design, experimentation, change management, hustle and the ability to make things happen. Senior team members bring additional expertise in leadership, coaching, business development and client empathy.

The Magnetic Client Partnership Director is an experienced, externally facing leader responsible for driving growth through strategic client relationships, market engagement, and business development. Acting as a thought leader and relationship architect, the role focuses on creating and converting opportunities at the top of the funnel, ensuring impactful client experiences, and securing long-term engagements for Magnetic. The CPD’s attention is wherever it is most valuable, through new business opportunities, client engagements or supporting their squad.

Travel across the UK, and occasionally overseas, is a core part of the role. This may sometimes be at short notice and can involve extended periods away from home, depending on the client or prospect's needs.

Our CPD’s role model our values of impact, generosity, proactivity and clarity; ensuring they’re visible in every client interaction and within Magnetic. Expert storytellers and communicators, our CPD’s excite clients and Magnets alike about the opportunities uncovered when exploring a business’s most complex challenges — keeping everyone aligned and standing shoulder to shoulder to design better futures.
