Description

Upcycling Assistant (Kings Grove & Homestore)

Thames Hospice is an independent hospice based at Bray Lake, Maidenhead. Proudly serving our community for more than 36 years, we provide specialist palliative and end-of-life care as well as vital support for patient’s families.

We have an exciting opportunity available within our Retail branch of the organisation, we are recruiting for a Upcycling Assistant at our Home Studio in Maidenhead.

So, yes, charity retail. It’s not what you think for a start. Not for us anyway. Firstly, we only sell fashion and home furnishings that are right on trend and stores are set up to compete on the high street with anyone else. The role is just an exciting opportunity and just as challenging as anywhere and our Retail teams are expected to utilise all their previous skills and experience to help support and run a commercially viable business.

You will be dedicated and, of course, working in retail is something you love but for you, there needs to be more to it. You’re visual and creative, excellent customer service and great standards are second nature, and you want the pieces of furniture that you produce to be the best it can be but you also want to give something back.

We offer a great range of employee schemes and benefits, including generous annual leave, free parking, EAP, access to NHS pension scheme if eligible, Blue Light Discount Card and so much more!

For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Emma Dale, Home Studio Manager via email, e.dale@thameshospice.org.uk
