Engineer (Electronics)
Job Purpose
As an experienced Electronics Engineer you will work within a team of skilled design engineers, to supply high quality products and systems to the Defence Industry. The successful candidate will have be experienced in translating system requirements to innovate electronic design solutions, leading to successful customer acceptance with project timescales and budget.

What you’ll need
· Electronics design ability in both analogue and digital design techniques: Low noise power supply and distribution circuitry, Analogue signal conditioning, Data acquisition topologies, Digital interfacing and control within an FGPA environment, Design for EMC Compliance. · Ability in all aspects of electronics product design including: Implementing designs from specifications, Producing circuit designs in preparation for external artwork and subcontract manufacture, Design validation and verification at the circuit level, Awareness of Compliance and Qualification e.g. UKCA/EC, EMC, Environmental, RoHS, Safety etc, An understanding of formal acceptance. · Working knowledge of ECAD tools for circuit and PCB design (Cadence OrCAD desirable) · Problem solving and fault finding down to component level. · Able to work with internal and external stakeholders to develop solutions. · Ability in the use of test equipment for evaluation and design validation, Digital Oscilliscopes, Spectrum Analysers, Function Generators, PAT Testers, Digital Multimeters, Power Supplies. (Desirable) · Ability to Multi-task and prioritise workload with a hands-on approach.(Desirable) · Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance is essential. · Full UK driving licence is desirable. · Familiarity with Microsoft Office products is desirable. · Strong communication skills both written and oral are desirable. · Degree educated or equivalent qualification is desirable. |
