Join the City of Woodburn Police Department as a Community Service Officer and make a difference in our community!
The City of Woodburn Police Department is seeking a dedicated Community Service Officer to join our team. Under the supervision of a Police Sergeant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our law enforcement operations. Please note that this is a non-sworn position. Join our team and help keep Woodburn safe and thriving!
Key Responsibilities:
- Responding to priority and non-priority calls for service
- Providing information and assistance to the general public
- Answering citizen inquiries
- Making public presentations to community groups
- Responding to calls involving violations of City code and ordinances
- Conducting inspections and traffic control activities
- Assisting with animal control
- Coordinating fleet maintenance
- Engaging in community relations activities
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Minimum of two years of experience in ordinance enforcement or equivalent
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and obtain CJIS clearance and LEDS certification within 30 days of hire
- Pass pre-employment drug test and background check
- Valid Oregon Class C driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Law Enforcement or Criminal Justice training or education
- Bilingual skills in Spanish/English or Russian/English
