We are seeking a confident Industrial Relations HR Business Partner to oversee all industrial and employee relations at our site while providing HR expertise across the employee lifecycle. You will serve as the HR lead in collective agreement forums, managing implementation of changes affecting employees under site collective bargaining agreements, and ensuring clear communication with HR, payroll, and wider leadership teams.

The role requires a high level of self‑motivation and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Working closely with managers, employees, and key stakeholders, the HRBP will ensure HR policies and procedures are applied fairly, consistently, and in line with organisational standards, contributing to a positive employee experience.

What You’ll do

·         Provide expert HR business partnering to managers, offering guidance on all aspects of the employee lifecycle

·         Serve as the HR lead in collective agreement forums, managing implementation of changes under the bargaining agreements and ensuring clear communication with HR, payroll, and leadership teams

·         Lead the implementation of fair, consistent, and compliant HR practices, aligned with UK employment law as well as both Osprey and site ways of working

·         Act as a trusted advisor on employee and industrial relations matters, providing guidance to managers and employees, and supporting resolution in line with company policies and culture principles

·         Build positive working relationships with managers, employees, and trade union representatives, fostering trust and open communication

 

Skills & Experience

·         Proven experience in a HR Business Partner role in a unionised environment

·         Demonstratable knowledge of UK employment law and prior experience of working with trade unions and employee representatives

·         CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 (or working towards)

·         Experience working in a fast-paced engineering, logistics or construction organisation
