The Company

The Opportunity

Here at The HEX Group the health & wellbeing of our colleagues is at the heart of everything we do.  With this in mind we are looking to recruit our own occupational health nurse to provide occupational healthcare and support for our workforce.

The Role

This will be a varied role which will involve undertaking statutory workplace assessments and reporting on potential risks to health. You will advise employees on both physical and mental health problems, all while maintaining the highest standards of occupational health care. This role requires good interpersonal communication skills with the ability to put people at ease. The successful applicant will work closely with the Health and Safety and People & Culture teams to understand the companies’ occupational health needs.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Carrying out pre-employment assessments.
  • Conducting statutory health surveillance inclusive of audiology, spirometry, HAVs, skin assessments, lifestyle assessments and safety critical medicals.
  • Monitoring and maintaining health records and controlling confidential information.
  • Working closely with the Health and Safety department to assess the impact of work or tasks, helping to identify and prevent work related ill health.
  • Advising on management of health emergencies and first aid management.
