Laser Operative

Alpha Manufacturing, part of The HEX Group, is a privately-owned business fabricating sheet metal in the UK. Alpha designs and produces both sheet metal work components and assemblies. Established in 1989, the company now employs over 180 people. Utilising industry leading technology, Alpha Manufacturing have facilities to design, prototype and manufacture a diverse range of products all in their purpose-built sheet metal fabrication factory in the heart of Staffordshire.

Having experienced significant growth and success over the last few years, we are looking to strengthen our team with the recruitment of a Laser Operative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up tooling, load programs and set machine parameter to ensure optimal performance of the equipment
  • Determine if tools are undamaged and in safe condition for use
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with fast changing priorities
  • Keep work area clean and organised
  • Work with team members to maximise productivity and efficiency
  • Consistently produce usable products that meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawings

 

The Candidate:

  • Flexible and able to adapt as required
  • Excellent organisational skills and time keeping
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team

 

Package:

The successful candidate will be entitled to:

  • Earn up to £18.56 per hour
  • Continental night shift 6pm-6am, 4 On 4 Off
