Description

The Role: To provide the highest standard level of hygiene for Deli Lites food production including packing, warehouse, perimeter, and offices areas to assist in the smooth running of Deli Lites facilities. To ensure that compliance of all hygiene procedures are adhered to and always maintain the highest standards. Reporting any issues to your Line Manager.

Your Duties:

  • To conduct your duties in a manner that safeguards your own safety and the safety of others.
  • Working and supporting the Deli Lites Production and Quality Team.
  • Making sure that everything you do complies with company procedures for Health & Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene.
  • Ensuring and maintaining hygiene standards in all areas of Deli Lites.
  • Ensure compliance with COSHH Regulations, as you will be handling and using chemicals on site.
  • Ensure where required machines are isolated and covered where required before cleaning.
  • Ensure the safe operation and use of all types of production equipment, machinery in accordance with manufacturers guidelines.  As directed by your Line Manager.
  • Any damaged equipment while cleaning must be reported Immediately to your Line Manager.
  • Ensure the safe handling of chemicals and to NEVER mix chemicals.
  • Ensure cleaning methods are followed correctly.
  • Ensuring there is no risk to food when cleaning is being carried out.
  • Correct PPE to be always worn when cleaning, including safety PPE.
  • Supporting the NPD and Production teams during production trials, on any additional cleaning required.
  • Ensure the highest standard of cleaning is always carried out.
  • Reporting issues to your Line Manager that may result in compromised food safety, food hygiene of our products.
  • To carry out any other reasonable working instruction given by your Line Manager and any other Manager within the business. 

Desired Criteria: 

·         Excellent communicator - both written and oral.

·         Highly energetic, enthusiastic, and creative.

·         Excellent planning and organising skills.

·         Experience working within a hygiene department within the food industry.
