Turn Numbers into Knowledge — Inspire the Next Generation of Accounting and Finance Professionals

Accounting is more than numbers – it’s about understanding how organisations make decisions, manage resources, and plan for the future. In this role, you’ll bring your knowledge of accounting and finance into the classroom, showing students how financial information drives real-world business decisions.

Through practical examples and engaging teaching, you will help learners develop the analytical skills, confidence, and professional understanding needed to progress into careers in accounting, finance, or further study. By connecting theory with practice, you will play a key role in preparing students for the demands of the modern financial and business environment.

The Role

You will join the Business & Accounting Department at Stanmore College and contribute to the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning.

 You will:

  • Teach Accounting and Finance courses from Level 1 to Level 3, including T Levels.
  • Deliver engaging lessons that develop learners’ understanding of financial principles and business practice.
  • Plan, assess, and provide feedback to support student progress and achievement.
  • Develop teaching materials and learning resources to support inclusive and effective learning.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and maintain high standards of teaching and assessment.
  • Support students’ academic, personal, and career development.

 Why This Role Matters

Accounting underpins every successful business, from small enterprises to global corporations. As a Lecturer in Accounting, you’ll help students understand not just the numbers, but how those numbers influence real-world business decisions. Your guidance will directly impact their ability to succeed in the workplace, supporting the next generation of finance professionals to make informed, responsible decisions in an increasingly complex business environment.
