Finance Director

Overview of the role
Lead the Finance function within Chemring Countermeasures Limited and contribute towards the development and delivery of the CCM business strategy, financial management and continuous business improvement to drive OTIF and operational efficiency at all levels of operations and delivered services
Responsibilities
· Contribute and input into strategic planning, ensuring priorities are represented fully within the wider CCM business strategy and plans
· Lead on the development and deployment of performance management and continuous improvement
· Support in the development of site-wide competencies, talent, and succession planning
· Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, ensuring data-driven decision-making
· Oversee cash flow management and funding strategies to support business growth and stability
· Manage the preparation of all daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual financial reporting required to CCM and CHG
· Manage the preparation and presentation of all statutory requirements with regard to VAT, HMRC and other official bodies
· Assure compliance with BACM, the Chemring Code of Conduct and Operational Framework
· Manage CAPEX investments and expenditure in accordance with local BU and Group policy
· Develop and lead change management strategies that support adoption of new processes, technologies, and ways of working
· Define and monitor KPIs for all business performance and improvement activities, driving accountability for on-time, on-budget, and in-scope delivery of project outcomes and maximising CCM performance
· Ensure the right capability exists to deliver departmental requirements: recruitment, performance management and succession planning
· Ensure all HR processes are followed
· Develop workforce and leadership competence through appropriate learning packages and safety programs
Essential Qualifications, Skills and/or Experience
· Qualified ACCA or ACA
· Right to live and work in the UK
· Previous experience of working at a Management/Director level
· Experience of reporting and presenting to Board level
· Experience of Budgeting and Strategic Planning
· Experience of working with external advisers
· Competency at leading Finance orientated team
Desirable Qualifications, Skills and/or Experience
· Defence Industry knowledge
