In 2024, Magnetic was acquired by the Newton Group, which now includes three businesses: Newton Consulting, Magnetic and Xantura which together have 600+ employees. Xantura uses data and analytics to help public services better support residents and communities. We’re at an exciting moment in our journey, as this is the first time that all three brands in the Newton Group will have offices under one roof, at 9 Marshalsea Road, where the Magnetic studio is already based on floors 3 and 4. 

This new role will be central to the smooth operation of the building, supporting the Studio Manager in developing a stellar brand and client experience within the space for all Group companies. This person will be the beating heart of our space – equal parts host, organiser, and problem-solver. They will be the face that greets every guest with warmth and professionalism, and the person who keeps everything ticking smoothly behind the scenes. As such, this role will be based at 9MR five days a week.

 

What will I be doing?

  • Day-to-day Office operations – Help keep the Office and Studio environment welcoming, functional, and inspiring for the Group across all floors – everything from coordinating maintenance to snack selection. (On occasion, there may be some lifting and shifting required.
  • Concierge duties – Warmly greet all guests, clients, and collaborators, ensuring meeting rooms are prepped and presentable.
  • Manage booking systems – Own the meeting room calendars, ensuring efficient use of space and seamless scheduling.
  • Stock management – Keep supplies topped up and running without a hitch, from snacks to stationery.
  • Logistics support – Be the engine behind the scenes for workshops, team off-sites, and external events – from materials to transport and setup.
  • Health and Safety - Support the Studio Manager in maintaining a safe, healthy, and compliant working environment.
  • Executive support – Provide ad-hoc PA-level assistance to Magnetic’s CEO, including managing travel, schedules, appointments, and occasional personal logistics.
  • Brand ambassador – Represent both Newton Group & Magnetic brands with professionalism and flair – in every interaction, big or small.
  • Champion continuous improvement – Seek out opportunities for us to improve, and make them happen – from tech set-up and systems to studio experience.
  • CRM updates – Ensure guest and client interactions are accurately reflected in our CRM, supporting relationship-building across the business.

  • Tech savvy and confident in coordinating calendars, travel arrangements and office logistics.
  • Organisation of multiple moving pieces with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to flex working hours where needed for events or business demands.
